The Divemaster course offered by the International Association of Nitrox and Technical Divers (IANTD) is a professional level scuba diving certification program designed for experienced divers who want to work in the scuba diving industry as a Divemaster.

The course typically consists of classroom sessions, practical training, and supervised diving experiences. During the course, students learn about dive theory, equipment, safety, and risk management, as well as how to teach and lead dives.

To enroll in the Divemaster course, students must be certified as Advanced Open Water Divers or have an equivalent certification from a recognized scuba diving agency. They must also have a minimum number of logged dives, meet the age requirement (usually 18 years old), and have a valid CPR and first aid certification.

During the course, students learn how to assist instructors in teaching scuba diving courses, supervise divers in training, and lead certified divers on recreational dives. They also learn how to manage risks associated with diving and how to respond to dive-related emergencies.

The course is typically divided into four modules: knowledge development, water skills and stamina, practical application, and training sessions. In the knowledge development module, students learn about dive theory, equipment, safety, and risk management. In the water skills and stamina module, students are required to demonstrate their physical fitness and diving abilities through a series of underwater exercises.

In the practical application module, students are required to complete a series of practical exercises that simulate real-world diving scenarios, such as search and recovery, deep diving, and night diving. In the training sessions module, students assist instructors in teaching scuba diving courses and gain hands-on experience in leading and supervising dives.

Upon successful completion of the Divemaster course, students will be certified as Divemasters and will have the knowledge and skills necessary to work in the scuba diving industry as a professional. They can go on to work as Divemasters at dive centers or resorts, or continue their training to become a scuba diving instructor.
