Craft Semani F-321

Semani F-321

In March 1997, the large patrol ship Semani F-321 was undergoing overhaul at the Pashaliman Shipyard. The weapons systems and ammunition on board had long since been dismantled. The ship had no crew and was emptied of fuel. One March night in 1997, during civil unrest in Albania, the ship broke away from the pier and drifted uncontrollably in the south wind. It subsequently sank in the North Channel of Vlora Bay. It sank 9.5 nautical miles from the Pashaliman naval base at a depth of 18 meters. The ship's bridge, made of aluminum alloy, was removed and looted.
