The Viroit Cave fills Lake Liqeni with its waters. It is located 3 kilometres from the town of Gjirokastra, next to the SH4 highway between Gjirokastra and Tepelena. It has an explored depth of up to 200 metres. The water temperature is around 9 degrees all year round. The water level has a pronounced seasonality, in summer the water flow stops. Diving is possible from March to June.
