Antonio Ferry Boat Ship Wreck

Antonio Ferry Wreck

The Antonio Ferry Wreck dive spot in Albania is a great spot for divers of all levels, located just off the coast of Saranda. It is one of the largest wrecks in the Mediterranean and features an abundance of big and colorful fish, as well as interesting coral formations. It is an excellent place to explore underwater and take amazing photos.

Wreck Antonio Ferry is jokingly referred to as Albania's underwater parking lot. The Antonio Ferry was traveling from Kerkyra to Saranda. In 2000, the ship, carrying people and cars, had an engine failure, and a storm threw it to the shore of Hunda-a-Kunge, where it hung on the rocks and stood for several days. The crew moored the vessel and the passengers were able to disembark safely, but less than a week later the ferry sank. Over time, the vessel split into two parts. One of them lies at a depth of 35 meters, and the other has sunk to 50 meters. The cars that were on the ferry at the time of the accident are now at a depth of 25 meters. Visibility is almost 30 meters.

Depth: 25–50 meters. Accessible: from a boat. Current: None or weak. Level: Suitable for beginners OWD and advanced AOWD divers.
